About Us

Hey. I'm the person
behind WASDWORKS.

How This Started

I've been gaming on mechanical keyboards for over 8 years. Cherry MX Blues were my first love. Since then I've been through the tactile phase, the linear phase, the "I need to try every switch ever made" phase — you know how it goes.

Along the way, I probably spent more on keycaps than some people spend on their entire PC. And here's the thing that kept bugging me:

You either pay $100+ for a GMK set that takes 8 months to arrive — or you buy a $25 set from Amazon and the legends start fading in two months.

There was no middle ground. No option for people who wanted real PBT, actual dye-sublimation, solid build quality — without the group-buy-wait-forever circus.

So I stopped complaining and started making my own.

What WASDWORKS Actually Is

It's me (and a couple of friends I convinced to help) designing keycaps that I'd actually put on my own board. That means:

Real materials. No shortcuts.

PBT plastic. Dye-sublimation printing. Not ABS with a coating that wears off. Not "PBT-like" marketing copy. Actual PBT that doesn't shine after six months of daily use. The legends are dyed into the plastic — they don't rub off, they don't fade, they don't turn into ghost keys after one summer of sweaty ranked sessions.

Community-designed. Not boardroom-designed.

Most of our colorways started as Discord conversations. Someone says "what if we did a sunset orange set" and a week later there's a prototype. If real keyboard people don't hype it, it doesn't get made. Simple.

Honest pricing. No fake sales.

The price you see is what it actually costs. No "was $89, now $45" games. No "limited time offer" that's been running for six months. Just real prices for real keycaps.

Shipping that makes sense.

Free worldwide shipping. Duties and taxes paid by us at checkout — nothing extra at your door. We use IOSS for EU orders so your package clears customs fast, and you don't get hit with surprise fees.

What WASDWORKS Isn't

A "premium luxury bespoke artisan keycap atelier" (please)

A company that makes you wait 9 months for a group buy that might get cancelled

A brand that hides behind "our valued customer service team" — it's just me reading your emails

Transparency Is Not a Marketing Tactic

No smoke. No mirrors.

Here's something most brands won't tell you: our keycaps are manufactured in Zhoushan, China. We work directly with the factory on quality control, material sourcing, and production standards. Nothing is dropshipped. Nothing is white-labeled. Every set is inspected before it ships.

We don't pretend to be a "heritage brand" with a hundred-year history of keycap craftsmanship. We're a small team of gamers who found good manufacturing partners and built real relationships with them.

If you want to know exactly what plastic goes into your keycaps, how the dye-sub process works, or which factory produced your set — ask. We'll tell you. That's the whole point.

The Return Policy (Because It Matters)

30 days. No questions asked. Full refund.

Don't like the color? Return it.

The profile doesn't feel right? Return it.

Your cat knocked your keyboard off the desk and you need the money for a new one? Honestly, return it. We've been there.

No restocking fees. No "original packaging required." No fine print. Just send it back, get your money back. That's how it should work.

The Bottom Line

I'm just a gamer who makes keycaps for other gamers.

If you have a problem with your order, email me.

If you have an idea for a design, jump in the Discord.

If you think my takes on keyboard profiles are wrong — my DMs are open.

No corporate mission statement. No stock photos of people in suits pointing at keyboards.

Just keys. Just games.

Designed for the community. Built for the long grind. Shipped from London & Zhoushan.
